Fluency In Spanish And English: A Spanish Medical Interpreter At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Be Fluent In Both Spanish And English, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret Medical Terminology And Complex Concepts.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: In Order To Effectively Interpret Between Spanish-Speaking Patients And Healthcare Providers, A Spanish Medical Interpreter Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology In Both Languages.
Certification Or Training In Medical Interpreting: While Not Always Required, Many Employers Prefer Spanish Medical Interpreters Who Have Completed A Certification Program Or Training In Medical Interpreting. This Ensures That The Interpreter Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Handle Complex Medical Situations.
