
Registered Nurse- Vascular Access

As a Vascular Access Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective placement of vascular access devices for our patients. - Assess and evaluate patients' vascular access needs and determine the most appropriate access device for each individual.
- Perform safe and accurate placement of vascular access devices, including peripheral IVs, central lines, and PICC lines.
- Monitor and maintain existing vascular access devices, ensuring they are functioning properly and free from complications.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care and maintenance of vascular access devices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each patient.
- Stay up-to-date on current best practices and evidence-based guidelines for vascular access procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures, assessments, and patient responses.
- Respond to any complications or issues with vascular access devices promptly and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Provide support and guidance to other healthcare team members regarding proper vascular access techniques and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to vascular access care.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families during all interactions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the health and safety of patients and healthcare team members.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve personal knowledge and skills related to vascular access care through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure that all patients receive high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with the organization's mission and values.
Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vascular Access, Preferably In A Hospital Or Acute Care Setting.
Advanced Certification In Vascular Access, Such As Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (Crni) Or Vascular Access Board Certified (Va-Bc).
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Vascular Access Procedures, Equipment, And Devices, As Well As Infection Prevention And Control Protocols.
