
Registered Nurse - Vascular Access

As a Vascular Access RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes by performing various vascular access procedures and providing expert care to patients with complex vascular needs. - Perform various vascular access procedures with precision and expertise, including but not limited to central venous catheter insertions, arterial line placements, and peripheral IV insertions.
- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with complex vascular needs, utilizing evidence-based practice and following established protocols.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Accurately document and maintain patient records, including all procedures and interventions performed.
- Monitor and assess patients for any potential complications related to vascular access, and intervene promptly if necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on the proper care and maintenance of vascular access devices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Keep up-to-date with current research and best practices in vascular access care, and integrate new knowledge into practice.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help to identify areas for improvement in the delivery of vascular access care.
- Act as a resource and mentor to other healthcare professionals, providing guidance and education on vascular access procedures and techniques.
- Maintain professional development and keep current with licensure and certifications as required.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Providence St. Joseph Health in all aspects of the job.
Certification In Vascular Access, Such As Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (Crni) Or Vascular Access Board Certified (Va-Bc).
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Vascular Access Procedures, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
