
Registered Nurse- Vascular Access

- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in need of vascular access services.
- Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in vascular access to assess and monitor patients' vascular access needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform vascular access procedures, including insertion and maintenance of central lines, peripheral IVs, and arterial lines.
- Monitor and document patient responses to vascular access procedures and make appropriate adjustments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on vascular access procedures, potential complications, and self-care techniques.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process improvement.
- Act as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members on vascular access procedures and techniques.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and advancements in vascular access practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Providence St. Joseph Health.
- Prioritize patient safety and adhere to ethical and legal standards.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.
Certification In Vascular Access (Va-Bc) From The Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation (Incc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vascular Access, Preferably In An Acute Care Setting.
Bls And Acls Certification From The American Heart Association.
