- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the outpatient medical oncology department.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and document observations and interventions in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to patient and family inquiries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Adhere to all regulatory and legal requirements, including HIPAA and state nursing laws.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients, families, and colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Medical Oncology Or Related Field.
Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Oncology Treatments, Medications, And Procedures.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification And Additional Certifications As Required By The Department Or Facility.
