
Podiatry Nurse Practitioner

- Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients' foot and ankle conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs
- Perform routine and specialized podiatric procedures such as wound care, nail removal, and orthotic fittings
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Educate patients on proper foot care and preventive measures to maintain optimal health
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date on current research and developments in podiatry to continuously improve patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote a culture of patient safety
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice in the field of podiatry
- Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced podiatric staff members.
Registered Nurse (Rn) License: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Where The Job Is Located.
Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Degree: The Candidate Must Have Completed An Accredited Msn Program With A Focus On Podiatry Or A Related Field.
Board Certification As A Nurse Practitioner: The Candidate Must Be Certified As A Nurse Practitioner By A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Podiatry: The Candidate Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Nurse Practitioner In A Podiatry Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare System.
Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Using Emr Systems For Documenting Patient Care And Managing Patient Information. Proficiency In Using The Epic Emr System Is Preferred.
