  1. Perform plastic and reconstructive procedures to improve and enhance the physical appearance and function of patients.
  2. Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technology to achieve optimal results for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their desired outcomes and develop treatment plans accordingly.
  4. Educate patients on the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of procedures.
  5. Monitor and manage patients’ post-operative care and recovery.
  6. Collaborate with other medical professionals, including anesthesiologists and nurses, to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements and developments in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care.
  10. Uphold the values and mission of Providence St. Joseph Health in all aspects of the job.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the plastic surgery department.
  12. Mentor and train medical residents and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  15. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And Board Certification: A Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeon Must Have Completed Medical School And Obtained A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Degree. They Must Also Be Certified By The American Board Of Plastic Surgery.

  • Extensive Training And Experience: Providence St. Joseph Health Requires A Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeon To Have Completed A Residency Program In Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery, As Well As Additional Fellowship Training In Their Subspecialty Area.

  • State Licensure: All Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeons At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State In Which They Are Working.

  • Strong Surgical Skills: A Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeon Must Possess Excellent Surgical Skills, Including The Ability To Perform Both Cosmetic And Reconstructive Procedures With Precision And Attention To Detail.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeon, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial In Building Relationships With Patients And Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Listen Attentively, Empathize, And Educate Patients About Procedures And Post-Operative Care.
