As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in the medical care of our young patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible outcomes. - Provide excellent medical care to pediatric patients admitted to the hospital.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and make appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding their medical conditions.
- Collaborate with community resources and other healthcare facilities to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with current medical research and best practices in pediatric care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering compassionate and family-centered care.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Actively participate in professional development and continuing education activities.
- Represent the hospital and pediatric facility in a professional and positive manner.
Medical Degree: Candidates Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification In Pediatrics: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Pediatrics By The American Board Of Pediatrics Or Equivalent Certification.
Residency Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed An Accredited Pediatrics Residency Program To Gain Clinical Experience In The Field.
Experience In Pediatric Hospital Medicine: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Pediatric Hospitalist, With A Strong Background In Managing Acute And Chronic Illnesses In Hospitalized Children.
Team Player: As A Member Of The Providence St. Joseph Health Team, The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, As Well As A Commitment To Providing High-Quality Patient Care And Working Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
