- Safely transport patients to and from various locations within the facility, including but not limited to patient rooms, diagnostic areas, and treatment areas.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients during transportation by providing assistance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient transport logs and records.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary environment during patient transport.
- Assist in the transfer of patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Utilize basic computer skills to access and update patient information and schedules.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and timely patient transport.
- Attend regular trainings and meetings to stay updated on hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the hospital's commitment to compassionate and high-quality care.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to patient and family needs and addressing any concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
- Take initiative to identify and report any issues or concerns related to patient transport, equipment, or safety hazards.
