Advanced Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Hold A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp) Degree. This Advanced Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Diagnose And Treat Patients.
Active State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Current License As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Where The Hospital Is Located. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Minimum Requirements For Practicing As An Advanced Practice Nurse.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Certified By A Recognized National Certification Board, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The American Academy Of Nurse Practitioners (Aanp).
