- Collaborate with experienced surgeons to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform breast exams and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Educate patients on preventative measures and treatment options.
- Monitor and manage patient symptoms and side effects.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based practices.
- Stay current on advancements and changes in breast surgery and healthcare practices.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational opportunities.
Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Adult Or Family Nurse Practitioner.
Current State Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Breast Surgery Or Oncology.
Certification From A Recognized Nurse Practitioner Certifying Body, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The American Academy Of Nurse Practitioners (Aanp).
Advanced Knowledge And Training In Breast Surgery And Breast Health, Including Breast Cancer Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment, And Follow-Up Care.
