  1. Implement Radiation Therapy Protocols: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for developing and implementing radiation therapy protocols for the treatment of patients, in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  2. Quality Assurance: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and accuracy of radiation therapy treatments by regularly performing quality assurance tests and checks on equipment and treatment plans.
  3. Collaborate with Medical Team: The Medical Physicist will work closely with other members of the medical team, including radiation oncologists and dosimetrists, to develop treatment plans and ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  4. Ensure Compliance: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations, in regards to radiation therapy.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating radiation therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  6. Research and Development: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical physics and research, and incorporating new techniques and technologies into patient care.
  7. Training and Education: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for providing training and education to other members of the medical team on radiation therapy protocols, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
  8. Documentation and Record-Keeping: The Medical Physicist will maintain accurate and detailed records of all radiation therapy treatments and quality assurance tests, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  9. Patient Care: The Medical Physicist will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing radiation therapy treatments, and will be responsible for addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during treatment.
  10. Continuous Improvement: The Medical Physicist will be responsible for continuously evaluating and improving radiation therapy processes and procedures to enhance patient outcomes and improve efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Or Phd Degree In Medical Physics Or A Related Field.

  • Certification By The American Board Of Radiology (Abr) In Therapeutic Medical Physics.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Clinical Medical Physics, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Imaging And Radiation Therapy Equipment, Including Calibration And Quality Assurance Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team.
