  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the medical office with a friendly and compassionate attitude.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  4. Maintain patient records and ensure all information is entered correctly into the electronic medical records system.
  5. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely delivery of care.
  6. Collect and process patient payments, including insurance verification and co-payments.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry to support the smooth operation of the office.
  8. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  9. Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and referrals as needed.
  10. Keep the waiting area and front desk organized and tidy to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  11. Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
  12. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards set forth by the healthcare industry.
  14. Continuously strive to improve the patient experience and provide the highest quality of care.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Medical Office Representative Position At Providence St. Joseph Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
