
Medical Equipment Maintenance Technician

- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment, including but not limited to: diagnostic machines, patient monitoring systems, surgical equipment, and imaging devices.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and identify any potential issues or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to find efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to prioritize and address equipment maintenance needs in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment, including documentation of parts used and services performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in medical equipment, and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Assist with the installation and set-up of new equipment, ensuring it is properly calibrated and functioning before use.
- Provide training and support to healthcare staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and vendors to coordinate repairs, order parts, and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards, to ensure compliance and patient safety.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency equipment repairs.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, reflecting the company's commitment to exceptional patient care.
Knowledge Of Medical Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Various Medical Equipment And Their Functions, Including But Not Limited To Diagnostic Imaging Equipment, Patient Monitoring Systems, And Surgical Equipment.
Technical Skills: Strong Technical Skills Are A Must For This Role, Including The Ability To Troubleshoot, Repair, And Maintain Complex Medical Equipment. Proficiency In Using Tools And Software For Equipment Maintenance Is Also Necessary.
Experience In Healthcare: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Facility, Is Highly Desirable. This Ensures Familiarity With The Unique Requirements And Standards For Medical Equipment Maintenance.
Attention To Detail: The Maintenance Of Medical Equipment Is A Critical Responsibility, And Even Minor Errors Can Have Serious Consequences. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures.
