Medical Assistant - Swedish Gastroenterology

1. Greet and welcome patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Assist patients with check-in process, including verifying insurance and collecting necessary information.
3. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
4. Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
5. Assist physicians with medical procedures, such as administering injections and performing EKGs.
6. Prepare and process lab specimens.
7. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and tests.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
9. Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
11. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
13. Handle phone calls and inquiries from patients and other healthcare facilities.
14. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
15. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on medical procedures and practices.
16. Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
17. Display empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
18. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care.
