Job Description

  1. Providing compassionate care to patients in a clinical setting.

  11. Educating patients on their health conditions and treatment plans.
  12. Assisting with procedures and surgeries as needed.
  13. Maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Candidates Should Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program, Which Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, And Clinical Skills.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credential: Certification As A Cma Or Rma Demonstrates Knowledge And Competency In The Field Of Medical Assisting And Is Preferred For This Position.

  • Previous Experience In A Gastroenterology Or Specialty Clinic Setting: Experience Working In A Gastroenterology Clinic Or Other Specialty Clinic Will Be Highly Valued, As It Demonstrates Familiarity With The Specific Needs And Procedures Of This Type Of Medical Practice.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Medical Assistants At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: Proficiency In Using Emr Systems Is Essential For This Position, As It Is The Primary Method For Recording Patient Information, Scheduling Appointments, And Communicating With Other Healthcare Providers.
