  • Provide compassionate and high-quality medical services to patients in the Pacific Northwest
  • Work alongside top physicians and specialists to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Assist with patient intake, including taking vitals, updating medical history, and preparing patients for exams
  • Aid in procedures, such as administering injections and collecting specimens
  • Maintain accurate and organized medical records, both electronic and paper
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and provide clear and thorough instructions for post-care

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Program From An Accredited Institution That Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Medical Assisting Duties.

  • Experience In A Gastroenterology Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Gastroenterology Clinic Or Department Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates Familiarity With The Specific Procedures And Protocols Involved In This Specialty.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: As A Medical Assistant At Swedish Gastroenterology, It Is Important To Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology In Order To Accurately Record Patient Information And Communicate With Healthcare Providers.

  • Cpr/Bls Certification: All Medical Assistants At Providence St. Joseph Health Are Required To Be Certified In Cpr/Bls (Basic Life Support) In Order To Respond To Emergency Situations And Assist In Patient Care As Needed.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial In This Role. Medical Assistants Must Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Patients And Make Them Feel At Ease During Procedures.
