  2. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for mammography procedures.
  3. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.

  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Radiologic Technology: A Mammography Assistant At Providence St. Joseph Health Should Possess A Valid Certification In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Program.

  • Experience In Mammography: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Mammography Setting, Including Experience With Digital And/Or 3D Mammography Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Mammography Assistant, As They Will Be Responsible For Accurately Documenting Patient Information And Communicating With The Radiologist.

  • Attention To Detail: Mammography Assistants Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate Positioning And Imaging Of Patients, As Well As Proper Documentation Of Findings.

  • Strong Communication Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Radiologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Mammography Assistants Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Provide Exceptional Patient Care.
