Job Description

Providence St. Joseph Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Urology team. Job Qualifications
  • Valid Lpn/Lvn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Lpn/Lvn License In The State Where The Job Is Located. This Ensures That They Have Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Practice As A Licensed Practical Nurse Or Licensed Vocational Nurse.

  • Experience In Urology: Candidates Should Have Experience Working In A Urology Setting, Either Through Previous Work Experience Or Clinical Rotations During Their Nursing Education. This Will Provide Them With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Care For Patients With Urological Conditions.

  • Knowledge Of Urological Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Urological Procedures And Be Able To Assist With Them As Needed. This Could Include Urinary Catheterizations, Bladder Scans, And Other Diagnostic Tests Commonly Performed In A Urology Setting.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Working In Urology Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy. Lpn/Lvns Must Be Able To Accurately Document Patient Information, Administer Medications Correctly, And Follow Strict Protocols To Prevent Infections And Other Complications.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Lpn/Lvns In Urology Will Work Closely With A Team Of Healthcare Professionals, Including Urologists, Nurses, And Medical Assistants. Effective Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Providing High-Quality Care To Patients And Ensuring A Smooth Workflow In A Busy Urology Practice.
