1. Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to the unit with warmth and professionalism.
2. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring all necessary paperwork and processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
3. Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and organized for easy access.
4. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professionals or departments.
5. Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures for patients as requested by healthcare professionals.
6. Coordinate and distribute patient meal orders, as well as assist with the delivery of meals to patients.
7. Maintain inventory and order supplies for the unit, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and available.
8. Communicate important information and updates to healthcare professionals and other team members.
9. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
10. Maintain a clean and organized unit, including patient rooms, common areas, and supply closets.
11. Respond to patient and family inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
12. Attend and actively participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies, procedures, and new initiatives.
13. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
14. Proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards or issues to the appropriate personnel.
15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the patient experience.
