- Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to the unit with warmth and professionalism.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring all necessary paperwork and processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and organized for easy access.
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professionals or departments.
- Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures for patients as requested by healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate and distribute patient meal orders, as well as assist with the delivery of meals to patients.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies for the unit, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and available.
- Communicate important information and updates to healthcare professionals and other team members.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized unit, including patient rooms, common areas, and supply closets.
- Respond to patient and family inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies, procedures, and new initiatives.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the patient experience.
