
Emergency Department Technician

As an ED Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians and nurses in providing high-quality care to our patients. - Assist physicians and nurses in providing high-quality care to patients in the emergency department.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for medical procedures.
- Clean and restock patient rooms and treatment areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Transport patients to and from various areas of the hospital as needed.
- Assist in the triage process by obtaining patient history and relaying information to healthcare providers.
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking blood samples and administering medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their time in the emergency department.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care.
Previous Experience As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Or Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) In A Hospital Setting.
Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls).
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Commonly Used In The Emergency Department.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, With Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills.
Flexibility To Work Varying Shifts, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays.
