
EEG Technician - Sleep Laboratory

- Conduct and interpret EEG tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in EEG testing.
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures and provide them with necessary information and instructions.
- Monitor and record patient's vital signs and report any abnormalities.
- Document and maintain accurate records of patient's medical history and test results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
- Educate patients and their families about the purpose and process of EEG testing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and escalate to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Attend and participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on industry advancements.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
- Comply with all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining inventory.
- Remain updated on best practices, regulations, and advancements in neurodiagnostics.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Sleep Laboratory.

- Maintain a positive and professional image of the organization at all times.
Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Eeg Technology And Certification Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).
Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience As An Eeg Technician, Preferably In A Sleep Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge Of Sleep Disorders: In-Depth Understanding Of Sleep Disorders, Including Their Causes, Symptoms, And Diagnostic Techniques.
Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Eeg Equipment, As Well As Other Related Equipment Such As Polysomnography Machines, Computer Software, And Video Monitoring Systems.
Communication Skills: Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Multi-Disciplinary Team Environment.
