- Provide compassionate care: The primary responsibility of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Orthopedics department is to provide compassionate care to our patients and their families. This includes understanding their needs, communicating effectively, and providing emotional support.
- Assist with daily tasks: CNAs in our Orthopedics department will be responsible for assisting patients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. They must ensure that patients are comfortable and have everything they need to promote their recovery.
- Monitor patient progress: It is crucial for CNAs to monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions, including their physical and emotional well-being. This information will be used by the medical team to determine the best course of treatment for the patient.
- Help with mobility: Patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and injuries may have limited mobility, and CNAs will be responsible for helping them with exercises and movements to improve their range of motion and strength.
- Assist with medical procedures: CNAs may be required to assist nurses and doctors with medical procedures such as taking vital signs, changing dressings, and administering medications as directed by the healthcare team.
