- Provide specialized care to mothers and newborns during the perinatal period.
- Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on perinatal care, including breastfeeding, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Perinatal Care - The Clinical Nurse Specialist Must Have A Graduate-Level Education In Nursing With A Focus On Perinatal Care, As This Role Requires Advanced Knowledge And Expertise In This Specialized Area.
Valid State Nursing License And Certification As A Clinical Nurse Specialist - Candidates Must Hold An Active Nursing License In The State Where They Will Practice, As Well As A Certification As A Clinical Nurse Specialist From A Recognized Accrediting Organization.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Perinatal Nursing - In Addition To Formal Education, A Clinical Nurse Specialist Must Have Several Years Of Hands-On Experience In Perinatal Nursing, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills - This Role Requires Working Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Families, So The Ideal Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Ensure Effective Teamwork And Patient Care.
