Job Description

  1. Provide expert clinical care to pregnant and postpartum patients, ensuring the highest level of safety and quality.
  2. Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in the delivery of perinatal care.
  3. Develop and implement evidence-based protocols and procedures to improve patient outcomes and promote best practices.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Educate patients and families on perinatal care, including childbirth preparation, postpartum care, and infant care.
  6. Monitor and assess patient progress, identifying any potential complications and providing timely interventions.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of perinatal care.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current trends and research in perinatal care, incorporating new knowledge into practice.
  9. Promote a culture of safety and continuous learning within the perinatal unit.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, adhering to all regulatory and organizational standards.
  11. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  12. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and met.
  13. Conduct research and participate in scholarly activities to contribute to the advancement of perinatal care.
  14. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide comprehensive care and support for pregnant and postpartum patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Perinatal Care.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Practice.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Nursing Experience In Perinatal Or Obstetrics Specialty.

  • Certification As A Clinical Nurse Specialist (Cns) In Perinatal Or Obstetrics Care.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge In Perinatal Care, Including High-Risk Pregnancies, Neonatal Care, And Postpartum Care.
