In this role, you will work closely with our Swedish Audiology team to provide support and assistance to our audiologists in delivering quality care to our patients.   1. Assisting audiologists in conducting hearing tests, evaluations, and fittings for patients with hearing loss.
  2. Preparing and maintaining audiology equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
  3. Educating patients and their families on hearing loss, treatment options, and hearing aid use.
  4. Scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  5. Assisting with administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and responding to emails.
  6. Collaborating with the audiology team to develop treatment plans and provide comprehensive care for patients.
  7. Maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity when working with patients and their families.
  8. Continuously learning and staying updated on new audiology techniques and technologies.
  9. Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction.
  10. Contributing to a positive and supportive work environment by working well with colleagues and exhibiting a positive attitude.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The First Qualification For An Audiology Assistant At Providence St. Joseph Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Literacy Skills Necessary For The Job.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Audiology Or Related Field: A Bachelor's Degree In Audiology Or A Related Field Is Preferred For This Position. This Shows That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Audiology And Related Subjects, Which Will Be Beneficial In Assisting The Audiologist.

  • Experience In Audiology Or Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In Audiology Or A Healthcare Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Could Include Working As A Medical Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, Or In A Similar Role. It Demonstrates The Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Basic Knowledge Of Audiology Equipment And Software: Proficiency In Using Audiology Equipment And Software Is An Important Qualification For This Position. The Candidate Should Be Comfortable With Conducting Hearing Tests, Calibrating Equipment, And Managing Patient Records Using Audiology Software.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Audiology Assistant, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Audiologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Populations And Work Well In A Team Environment.
