- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications for procedures.
- Assist anesthesiologists with patient positioning and preparation for anesthesia administration.
- Monitor and record vital signs, fluid levels, and other patient information during procedures.
- Anticipate and respond to potential complications during anesthesia administration.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures and medications administered.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
- Continuously educate oneself on new developments and advancements in anesthesia technology.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients before and after procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding anesthesia procedures and post-procedure care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Attend and actively participate in training and continuing education opportunities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development.
Certification Or Licensure As An Anesthesia Technician From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working As An Anesthesia Technician In A Hospital Setting.
Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Instruments, As Well As Anesthesia Procedures And Protocols.
Ability To Accurately Record And Document Patient Information And Maintain Patient Confidentiality.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
