1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving any concerns or issues.
3. Accurately and efficiently register patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information.
4. Explain admission procedures and paperwork to patients and their families.
5. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
6. Communicate effectively with medical staff, insurance companies, and other departments to ensure a smooth admission process.
7. Update and maintain patient records and electronic health information systems.
8. Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of insurance plans to accurately enter and verify patient information.
9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
10. Handle cash and credit transactions for patient payments and co-pays.
11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
12. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on hospital policies, procedures, and medical terminology.
