  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive accessibility program for ProQuest products and services, in line with industry best practices and relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Lead and manage a team of accessibility specialists to ensure timely and effective execution of the accessibility program.
  3. Conduct regular accessibility audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards compliance.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, design, and quality assurance to integrate accessibility into all stages of product development.
  5. Stay up-to-date with current accessibility trends, laws, and guidelines to ensure ProQuest's compliance.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external accessibility organizations and experts to stay informed of best practices and industry standards.
  7. Communicate and promote the importance of accessibility within the organization to ensure a culture of accessibility is maintained.
  8. Provide guidance and support to teams in identifying and addressing accessibility barriers in products and services.
  9. Develop and implement training programs for employees to increase awareness and understanding of accessibility.
  10. Work closely with customer support teams to ensure prompt and effective resolution of accessibility-related customer inquiries and issues.
  11. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure ProQuest's compliance with relevant accessibility laws and regulations.
  12. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the progress of the accessibility program.
  13. Continuously improve and evolve the accessibility program based on feedback and industry best practices.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on accessibility, both internally and externally, to promote ProQuest's commitment to accessibility.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Accessibility Standards And Guidelines: A Senior Accessibility Program Manager At Proquest Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Accessibility Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Wcag 2.0 And Section 508.

  • Strong Project Management Skills: This Role Requires Managing Multiple Projects And Initiatives Related To Accessibility, So The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Organizational And Project Management Skills To Ensure Timely And Successful Delivery.

  • Experience In Accessibility Testing And Remediation: Proquest Is Committed To Providing Accessible Products And Services, So The Senior Accessibility Program Manager Should Have Experience In Accessibility Testing And Remediation Techniques To Ensure Compliance.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Role In The Organization, The Candidate Must Have Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Manage Stakeholders, And Drive Accessibility Initiatives Across The Company.

  • Prior Experience In A Similar Role: Proquest Is Looking For A Candidate With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Technology Company, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Implementing Accessibility Programs.
