  1. Conduct research and analysis of patent data related to the biotechnology industry.

  4. Utilize various databases and tools to gather and organize patent information.

  7. Identify and evaluate potential patent infringement risks.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  9. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive patent data.
  10. Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures.
  11. Attend industry conferences and events to stay informed on the latest trends and advancements.
  12. Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  13. Continuously develop knowledge and skills in the biotechnology and patent analysis fields.
  14. Assist in training and mentoring new team members.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree In Biotechnology Or Related Field: A Pct Patent Analyst At Proquest Must Possess An Advanced Degree In Biotechnology Or A Related Field To Effectively Understand And Analyze Complex Biotech Patents.

  • Knowledge Of Patent Law And Intellectual Property: Proquest Requires Its Pct Patent Analysts To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Patent Law And Intellectual Property Rights. This Is Essential For Accurately Assessing The Novelty And Patentability Of Biotech Inventions.

  • Experience In Patent Analysis: Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience In Patent Analysis, Preferably In The Biotech Industry. This Will Enable Them To Quickly And Accurately Evaluate The Technical And Legal Aspects Of Biotech Patents.

  • Strong Research And Analytical Skills: A Pct Patent Analyst Must Have Excellent Research And Analytical Skills To Effectively Search Through Vast Amounts Of Patent Data And Extract Key Information. This Requires Attention To Detail, Critical Thinking, And The Ability To Synthesize Complex Information.

  • Familiarity With Industry Databases And Tools: Proquest Utilizes Various Databases And Tools For Patent Analysis. A Qualified Candidate Should Be Familiar With These Resources And Have Experience Using Them To Retrieve And Analyze Patent Data. This Includes Databases Such As Patbase And Tools Such As Patentsight.
