- Develop and implement data solutions: The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions that support ProQuest's business objectives.
- Lead a team: This role involves leading a team of data engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy: The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data through data quality checks and monitoring.
- Identify and implement process improvements: Continuously identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to optimize data management and engineering processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and apply new technologies and techniques to enhance our data solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues: Proactively identify and troubleshoot data-related issues to ensure smooth functioning of data solutions.
- Mentor and train team members: Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Analyze and optimize data performance: Use data analysis and performance monitoring tools to identify areas for improvement and optimize data performance.
- Communicate effectively: Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders and effectively articulate the value of data engineering to the business.
Extensive Experience In Data Engineering And Transformation: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Data Engineering And Transformation, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Data Projects.
Strong Technical Skills: A Lead Data Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Programming Languages, Databases, And Data Warehousing Technologies. They Should Also Be Proficient In Data Modeling, Etl Processes, And Data Visualization Tools.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Lead Data Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Data Engineers And Overseeing Multiple Projects. Hence, They Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Prioritize And Manage Tasks To Ensure Timely Delivery.
