- Conduct thorough investigations of property damage claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Provide timely and accurate communication to policyholders, agents, and third-party vendors throughout the claims process.
- Evaluate and analyze complex policy language to accurately determine coverage and make appropriate claim decisions.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authority levels and company guidelines.
- Utilize industry knowledge and best practices to handle claims efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing and resolving inquiries and complaints from policyholders.
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and laws related to property claims adjusting.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient claims process.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced claims adjusters.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Handle complex and high-value claims with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and organized claim files and documentation.
- Meet or exceed company standards for customer satisfaction, productivity, and accuracy.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and take initiative to implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Extensive Experience In Property Claims Adjusting: A Senior Property Claims Adjuster Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Handling Property Claims, With A Strong Understanding Of Insurance Policies, Coverage, And Claim Handling Procedures.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Field Adjuster, The Senior Property Claims Adjuster Will Interact With Various Stakeholders, Including Policyholders, Contractors, And Other Insurance Professionals. Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential In Effectively Managing These Interactions.
Ability To Work Independently: Field Adjusters Often Work Remotely And Have To Manage Their Own Schedules And Workload. A Senior Property Claims Adjuster Should Be Able To Work Independently, Prioritize Tasks, And Meet Deadlines Without Constant Supervision.
Proficiency In Technology: Progressive Uses Various Software And Technology Tools For Claims Processing And Tracking. A Senior Property Claims Adjuster Should Be Comfortable Using These Tools And Have A Strong Understanding Of Computer Systems And Data Analysis.
Leadership And Mentoring Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Senior Property Claims Adjuster May Be Responsible For Training And Mentoring Junior Adjusters. Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Guide And Develop Others Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
