As a part of MSBA program, engaged with a media company, managed a team of 6 to build in-house data pipelines and revenue forecasting models to predict revenue loss impacted by customer churn.
• ETL Pipeline: Queried and joined data from four different data sources using SQL and build a ETL pipeline to implement data models to clean and manipulate collected data for exploratory data analysis and clustered customer segments using PCA.
• Statistical Modeling: Analyzed large transaction dataset for 1.15M+ users’ using statistics tools in R, to draw users spending and membership trends and utilized Monte Carlo simulation experimental method to estimate user churn rates in next 3 years.
• Revenue Forecasting with ML: Forecasted users’ revenue for the next 3 years using machine learning algorithms: RF and SMOTE on cloud-based tools in python, acquired accuracy of 85% and 90% in identifying true positives.
