Hello! I'm Xavier, originally born in Puerto Rico and raised in Orlando, FL. I've always loved music from a young age, hearing salsa music permeate the air in our home. This led into a passion for trombone and all things musical so I decided to go for it! I've toured the country, recorded on multiple albums, taught jazz, trombone, and music theory and worked as a Music Supervisor and Studio Manager. I of course love music and everything that comes with it. Like ALL of it! So that's just a "small" bit about me. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Attended Columbia College Chicago and majored in Jazz Studies. The curriculum mainly consisted of small and large ensemble rehearsals, music theory and arranging classes, and improvisation course

Spent my time taking music classes, private lessons, and rehearsing. That was the majority over the general education classes which were still rigorous and challenging.

Create and implement SOP for the operation and care of the studio
  
Maintain the equipment and space. Making sure the gear is working properly and troubleshooting any problems that may arise
  
Lead engineer for two major projects. Creating and implementing new processes and strategies in order to execute said project.
  
Leading recording sessions of various types such as: vocal sessions, voice overs, instrumental sessions, and podcasts.
  
Mix/edit any audio or music as needed.
  
Produce tracks for our sync catalog and help with selection and playlisting of tracks for sync pitches.

Studio Manager/Engineer

**Music Supervisor**

*   Be the first point of contact for quality control related to the incoming songs before being passed to the customer

  

*   Engage with artists as a point of contact for when various situations arise or support is needed.

  

*   The selection of artists prior to the details of the song going out to the artist

  
**Senior Music Supervisor**

*   Lead and support a team of Music Supervisors as we perform our expected tasks at a high level of execution

  

*   Meet with Music Supervisors on a weekly basis to ensure they have the resources they need in order to succeed and to address any concerns that may have arisen.

  

*   Create and implement various protocols that eventually became the SOP for the department.

  

*   Create playlists of our artists based on various moods or genres for the front end of the website.

Music Supervisor/Senior Music Supervisor

Instruct guests in the fundamentals and more advanced techniques of rock climbing including basic safety guidelines built from a personal curriculum
  
Work as the first point of contact for guests, facilitating any questions and maintaining the space

Climbing Instructor/Customer Service Representative

Work with students on a weekly basis both in classroom and individual sessions
  
Teach concepts of music theory to further the students overall understanding of music in relation to their instrument

Music Theory Instructor

Assist with and lead recording sessions with various artists. Setting up and tearing down of recording equipment and instruments
  
Scheduling recording sessions with clients.
  
General maintenance of equipment and space.

Assistant Engineer

Instruct students in the fundamentals and mechanics involved with playing trombone through group classes.
  
Individualized focus pertaining to a student’s needs is provided throughout lesson. Assign work to be done outside of scheduled class time in order to become more fluent in their understanding of music.

Audio Engineer/Music Supervisor

Xavier is an exceptionally talented audio engineer with experience in all major DAWs. Formerly at Songfinch, we worked together to produce songs for an AI-based song creation platform. These songs had upwards of 150+ tracks per session and Xavier effortlessly managed and organized a tremendous amount of session files (we were juggling 20-30 sessions of this volume simultaneously).
