I am currently working with professional sports club Altrincham Football Club and private clients from a range of sports.

I am passionate about giving athletes the nutrition tools to help maximise their performance and achieve their full potential.

I work in football, however, my interests spread across multiple sports, and the different demands involved.

I completed the highly regarded Sport Nutrition Masters course with LJMU. During my time I learnt from and was supervised by Professors Graeme Close and James Morton.
I completed a research study on CBD and it's use in regulating pain. This study was received well and is due for publication.

During my time at Loughborough, I structured my module choices to focus on performance sport, with an emphasis on nutrition subjects.
  
I also worked with the Loughborough Women's football teams providing team and individual coaching.

I lead the nutrition support with the men’s first team. I am creating the foundations of the club’s performance nutrition strategy. With a blank canvas and limited resources, it has been essential that I am proactive and creative in my approach. I have implemented nutrition periodisation and I am collaborating with the chef and the head of sports science to align the meals provided with physiological needs of training and match day. By coordinating efforts with medical staff, I provide personalised nutrition, and body composition assessment, as a part of injury rehabilitation. I am currently focused on education with the players, either through interactive workshops or one-to-one consultations. With limited resources from the club, I want to create autonomy within the squad, creating players who can apply nutrition principles themselves. I also direct the supplementation strategy and support the head of sports science in supplement orders.

Lead Nutritionist

I have been providing individualised nutritional support to the clients of the gym. This has predominantly been with academy players up to the age of 21. Through one-to-one consultations, I use tools such as 24-hour recall and COM-B behavioural analysis to identify the topics and habits that need developing. I provide education on important principles of nutrition before working with the player to show how they can apply these principles in real life, creating educational material to follow up topics of each player consultation. I focus on key stakeholders for the athlete, providing support to parents to develop their nutritional understanding so that they can maximise the support they can provide to their child.

Nutritionist / Performance Coach

I assisted the lead nutritionist in the provision of a congruent nutrition strategy                throughout the club. I took the lead in delivering education to the foundation development phase (FDP) and youth development phase (YDP) by conducting informative sessions, creating a monthly newsletter for parents, and developing educational infographics. Additionally, I provided individualised support to first-team and professional development phase (PDP) players through consultations and skinfold measurements. Being at the forefront of high-performance nutrition strategies, I worked closely with other individuals from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to deliver efficient and reliable interventions, including developing strong relationships with the chef in order to create exemplar menus. I spearheaded the club’s hydration strategy and contributed to daily protocols such as carbohydrate periodisation and supplement preparation for training and injury recovery.

Nutritionist

I carried out health and fitness consultations on individuals before providing occupational health certificates for their job roles. I regularly provided individuals with guidance and advice, both in relation to nutrition and exercise, that supported them as they sought personal health goals or in combatting any occurring health issues identified during the consultation.

Technician

I worked closely with the lead nutritionist to provide valuable guidance on match day preparation and in optimising training nutrition protocol. I played an active role in adapting recommendations to different match formats, ensuring proper fuelling tailored to the specific demands of each format. On match days, I efficiently utilised my time by engaging in consultations and analysing player habits and behaviours, with a focus on creating an environment that encourages positive habits. I also created educational materials to inform players about healthy food choices and nutritional approaches when traveling. I played a role in developing the education programme with the academy scholars including leading some interactive and engaging workshops with both players and parents.
