Hello, my name is Shavonte Cotman-Russell, I’m originally from Richmond, Virginia, but currently living in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am the second oldest of twelve siblings. The first to attend and graduate college from my family. I have a Master's Degree in Public Policy and International Affairs as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. My working passion is foreign affairs and forecasting international events. In my free time, I enjoy practicing archery to keep myself tied to my Native American culture, attending Pow Wows, and spending time with my children.

Degree is in Public Policy Analysis and foreign/international affairs. Studied program management, public policy creation, speech writing and more.

Liberty University

Currently a Mission Assurance Analyst assigned to the Defense Health Agency where I assess the Military Health System for vulnerabilities that would degrade the Military Health System overall. I was formally assigned to the Department of Homeland Security’s Emergency Communications Division my duties included but were by no means limited to the following:
  

*   Developing and delivering Emergency Communication specific scoping questions to a number of federal departments and agencies to include the Department of State in regards to the Annual Strategic Assessment
*   Scheduling interviews with senior members of the various departments and agencies on behalf of the DHS’s ECD and Program Leads
*   Maintaining an active roster of program participants across the federal departments and agencies
*   Planning and executing meetings on behalf of the program leads at DHS involving members of the various OCIO offices of the federal departments and agencies
*   Developing and delivering federal documents strategizing yearly outlooks for the Emergency Communications Preparedness Center
*   Developing and delivering program tracking for DHS ECD’s Tribal Affairs Team
*   Conducting, developing and delivering background research documents on a number of federally recognized tribes to ECD program leads
