Greetings!

I am a Tucson local as well as Ex Law-Enforcement and a Military Veteran. I have had my EMT certification for approximately twenty years and I have approximately fourteen years’ experience providing trauma first aid and medical care to the sick and injured in overseas combat and as a first responder. I served approximately 2 years in Iraq as an infantryman combat lifesaver. I have provided first aid to a variety of trauma and mass casualty patients as a first responder (police officer) and as a deployed soldier. I am now re-applying that skillset, training and knowledge to serve the community in a clinical setting.
 I am currently Advanced EMT/CPR/BLS/AED certified. I received numerous hours of first aid training from my police agency. I also received Numerous hours of first aid training with the US army and have years of applied experience from both entities. I am currently a student at the University of Arizona for a Science degree to apply to Physicians assistant school. At this time, I have completed the following credentials at the University of Arizona: CHS 204 Introduction to the Helping Professions, HIPAA 101 (University of Arizona Office for Research & Discovery), Introduction to Therapeutic Relationships & Communication, Cultural Sensitivity Training, Part 1., Improving Health Equity Certificate (Institute for Healthcare Improvement), Having the Conversation Certificate: Basic Skills for Conversation about End-of-Life Care. I have also had numerous hours and training in regard to cultural sensitivity and interaction both as police and military and have had real world experience in both areas.
 I have numerous years of experience in said fields and upon completion of my degree at the university of Arizona, I will have the proper training to apply those skills in a clinical setting. I have numerous years of training and real-world experience/application of cultural awareness and interaction.
 I am an Ideal candidate for the position as I have a wealth of real-world experience in casualty care that sets me above the average candidate/graduate that I can apply to providing care to patients. Additionally, I have years of experience of real-world teamwork, conflict resolution and critical problem solving that I can apply to any team I work with for a successful completing of team goals and quality patient care. Global military contracting security company, conducted training in preparation for overseas security/medical detail for the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. Training included medical training as well as cultural sensitivity training.
