Hi all! I'm a graduate from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in BioPsychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. With 6 years of research, 4 years of which have been data analysis experience in the field of Neurocognitive and Clinical Psychology from notable Collegiate labs and Health centers, I am positive my engaging personality and creative outlook will be an asset to your institution.

In my free time I love exploring new cultures (typically through my stomach), taking traditional dance classes and analyzing psychological thrillers!

Biopsychology is the biological and evolutionary concentration of Psychology. Whereas some students choose to focus on the more social aspects of psychology, Biopsychology stresses integrating physiology, neurobiology, and behavioral biology into the Social Psychology experience.

Sidney Kimmel Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University

*   Worked with Clinical Research Coordinator and sponsors to facilitate daily trial activities and comply with research protocols on varying skin conditions.
*   ● Prepped patients to be exposed to experimental therapeutics (Mirco-coring, cryosurgical instruments, etc.)

Senior Clinical Trial Assistant

1.  Project partnership with WSSU’s School of Health _Science on Depression Management Among Urban Adults in Primary Care_. Surveyed the eects of social trauma on patients with psychological disorders within the Charlotte area. Additionally, we assessed how the integration of behavioral management toolkits (ex: depression) aected the wellness scores of Psychiatric and General wellness patients

Interim Research Coordinator I

1.  During the summer I was involved in a two-part research study with UMBC’s disparity research project.

*   ● Study on the socio-cultural implications of S.E.S. status, education, and disability among varying sexual identities and their impact on perception, cognition, and mental behavior.
*   ● Surveyed the role of race/ethnicity in ones’ understanding of the psychosis construct
*   ○ Controlled subject recruitment by creating marketing materials, deploying recruitment tactics, and building external relationships.
*   ○ Handled specimens and conducted tests according to established protocols, keeping effcient records on all experiments.
*   ○ Gathered, arranged, and corrected research data to create representative graphs and charts highlighting results for presentations.
*   ○ Underwent multicultural counseling to resolve conflicts and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements between parties.

Research Assistant

I conducted EEG/MRI studies on projects such as _Perceptions and Reactions to Ambiguous Exclusion_ and the _Mental Representation of Self vs Others._

Lead Research Assistant

1.  In partnership with CDC at Georgia Tech’S Pre-Profession Fields Internship program, I participated in microbiology research aimed to study the eects of Serratia (and other strains of bacteria) on antibiotic medications.

*   ● Identified and assessed immune responses by testing gram-negatives in aminoglycosides (for ex.) among other antibiotics
*   ● Extracted a little DNA and genotype samples using SNP technology (latter week(s) seminar).
*   ● Interpreted research findings and summarized data into reports.
*   ● Liaised with agencies including IRB, OCG, pharmaceutical companies,
*   laboratories, and equipment and supply companies, as needed.

Medical Scribe

*   ● Scheduled appointments, registered patients, and distributed sample pharmaceuticals as prescribed.
*   ● Assisted in the maintenance of medical charts and/or electronic medical records (filing, Op Reports, test results, home care forms).
*   ● Verified patients' eligibility and claims status with insurance agencies. Answered a high volume of phone calls and email inquiries.

Medical Administrative Support Assistant

*   Bathed, dressed, groomed, toileted, and fed residents to support activities of daily living
*   ● Assisted patients with mobility needs, including moving to and from beds, organizing wheelchairs, and preparing assistive devices.
*   ● Conducted and analyzed diagnostic (C comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, MMSE, TGUG+Measures of Fragility) tests by utilizing evidence-based practices.
