As a graduate from the University of Washington in the Earth and Space Sciences department; I have worked closely with brilliant professors and peers to form the foundations for my scientific integrity. My courses have allowed me to have real hands-on experience to develop valuable skills used in geological professions such as: ArcGIS Pro, Fusion 360, land surveying, and coding languages like R and Python to use software like MatLab.

Through my experience working with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) as an intern, I have gained the knowledge and experience of working in a laboratory environment, performing data analysis, and following/ refining scientific instructions. While doing Quality Assurance as for the Energy and Mineral Resources Mission Area (EMMA) as well as performing lab work in the Petrology Lab I have worked closely with Certified Geologists conducting research on the cutting edge of science.

Having experience in the Planetary Sciences Laboratory at the University of Washington, I have the foundational knowledge of properly working with dangerous laboratory equipment. Having my background in the lab in both the USGS and UW I have been trusted working independently in these environments and getting the quality of results expected of a professional.

I have completed my bachelors degree from the University of Washington, College of Earth and Space sciences: Geoscience option. This degree has fostered my love and extensive knowledge of geology and Earth sciences. I have developed and mastered essential skills for the work force and research positions. Some of these skills include fluency in: ArcGIS pro and QGIS, MATLAB, Geophysics, Geomorphology, sedimentary geology, field study, land surveying, AutoCAD and Fusion360, and environmental sciences.

*   Ground, prepared and polished 300+ coal, shale and other rock samples while adapting preparation techniques to unique sample requirements. Including photographing 200 cuttings samples from a key Gulf Coast Basin well core for dissemination for USGS publications. As well as recorded and archived 900+ prepared and unprepared samples for future use and long-term storage.
*   Scanned paper records and laboratory notebooks, and organized electronic files into an easily searchable system using Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat for QMS
*   Assisted with the creation and maintenance of Energy and Mineral Resources Mission Area (EMMA) Quality Management System &#40;QMS&#41; laboratory equipment tracking system, updating laboratory training tracking system, and reviewing and tracking of laboratory documentation to ensure compliance with requirements
*   Trained visiting geologists to properly prepare and polish rock samples for use in petrology, calcite, and phosphate analysis.
*   Creation and maintenance of Energy and Mineral Resources Mission Area (EMMA) in Quality Management Services (QMS) laboratory equipment tracking system, and reviewing lab documentation ensuring compliance with requirements.

Intern

Performing lab research with PhD student on Martian sedimentary slope properties and structures by experimentation and using data analysis of the experimental data. Using photo imaging and large dataset analysis to identify and organize the most important and relevant data.
