Nischala has been working with me since July, 2023. We are currently exploring an exciting research problem of non-equilibrium dynamics of open quantum systems with the goal of developing better understanding of quantum computing hardware. This problem is of fundamental importance in modern physics and is of great contemporary interest due to potential application in quantum information processing. She is currently working on the basics of quantum information and quantum optics, and learning to perform numerical calculations of these systems. She is now learning quantum algorithm implementations and qiskit. Among all the students I have known at the same career stage, she would be in the top 10%.
