I am an optimistic & fast learning Cardiac Monitor Technician from New Orleans, LA. I’m currently ending a contract here in Phoenix hoping to find something here permanently. I have four years of lead experience in multiple charting systems & tele equipment as well as EKG. I’ve also worked in all departments of the hospital including ICU, trauma & ER.

Telemetry Technician

·      Recording measurements of heart rate, PR interval and QRS on rhythm strips, identifying rhythms such as NSR, SB, ST Asytole, SVT, A-Fib, A-Flutter, and V-Tach.
·      Ensuring recorded rhythm strips are mounted and placed on patient’s chart after review by the nurse.
·      Possess troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring the problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem.
·      Keep supplies in stock.

Ekg Technician

§ Performs electrocardiograms, rhythm testing and Holter monitoring assuring accurate ECG tracing free of artifacts; assures proper site location and preparation for electrodes in all leads.
§ Assures correct patient identification information in the ECG cart, reviewing ECG tracing for accuracy and provide ECG tracing comparisons if indicated.
§ Provides excellent bedside manner.
§ Communicates rhythm change to medical and/or nursing personnel during and after procedure, per hospital policy and protocol.
§ Process ECG’s for final interpretation, patients in electronic medical record, complete test orders and place charges.
§ Maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and client facility staff.
§ Gives/receives shift report on a daily basis.
§ Documents daily and monthly electrocardiography tests performed as well as any delay in care.
§ Maintains equipment & manage the supply inventory to ensure continued and effective operation.
