-Digitized & georeferenced old ice charts into shapefiles for map production and calculating ice coverage of the Great Lakes

-Collected various weather station temperature data in order to calculate seasonal cumulative freezing degree days, extending the maximum ice cover time series for the Great Lakes through interpolation with Python

-Used climate indices data to conduct regression analysis and apply machine learning methods for forecasting

-Assisted in removing tranquilized black bears from traps, taking bio-samples, and attaching radio collars

-Searched for dens with GPS and tracked bear locations using radio telemetry and entering data into ArcGIS

-Participated in bear and nature education programs and guided tours of flying squirrel and bird watching
