Hi! I have several years in event planning both professionally and volunteer work. Events ranged from Monthly Community Information Breakfasts with local community leaders, business leaders, and interested persons to large Family Christmas Holiday Events attended annually by thousands of local families. 

I also have been a Farmers Market Manager for 4 years where essentially I would put on a weekly event for the community while supporting local small businesses and their success. I also worked directly with community leaders and not profit organizations in this role to make the market an impactful community event. 

In addition I have a small business I run out of my home- a vintage clothing business, where I sell primarily on Etsy.

Responsible for recruiting, accepting, and creating a vendor list of reputable farmers, artisans, and
crafters that the community will enjoy and will provide the community with access to quality food
and food access programs., Works closely with the community and its leaders for partnerships and
obtaining grants to offer multiple programs at the Farmers Market like SNAP matching. Plans & executes
annual events at the market including a Winter Warmth Drive, Dog Halloween Costume Contest, Trick
or Treating at the Market, etc. In charge of supervising and training staff members and volunteers on
Market Day. Coordinates and supervisors vendors during set up and breakdown with a priority focus on
the safety of everyone in the Market Zone and consideration for the needs of all vendors. Manages all
the markets social media platforms, creates regular content for social media, and quickly responds to
any communications requests or questions via social media and its messaging. Off season completes
all necessary annual applications and communications for permits, grants, community programs (SNAP, WIC-Farm Direct)

Farmers Market Manager

At Big Al’s I am responsible for supervising, coaching, and training new and existing members of our
Guest Service team to provide excellent customer service to all of our guests. I am constantly interacting
with guests by greeting, table touches, conflict resolution, and by phone with my ultimate goal being
to make a memorable experience at Big Al’s for all guests and for them to return in the future. I am
responsible for ensuring accuracy in employee’s tills and preparing their deposits for our accounting
team. I communicate closely with the General Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Facilities Manager,
as well as members of our Senior Leadership team to ensure top notch cleanliness of our facility, guest
satisfaction in food & beverage, and smooth & successful execution of our day-to-day procedures. I am
responsible for the day of execution of events and parties while working with the F&B manager and F&B
Department and our corporate office and Event Planning Manager.

Assistant Guest Service Manager

Program & Event Coordinator- I actively attended our committee meetings and would be the lead point in the discussion, planning,
and updating of past and future events in Historic Downtown Kennewick. I built positive relationships
and worked closely with our board of directors, committee members, local businesses, city officials
and leaders, City of Kennewick, and the Chamber of Commerce. I built up our membership program
to continue serving our members and bring in new members. I was constantly present and a face of
Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership to the local businesses and community but regularly stopping
into businesses and checking on them and delivering information, attending board and committee
meetings, attending after hours business networking events, and talking with the news and press.
I planned community events that would be attended by thousands of local families. These events
included two annual car shows, Merry Little Christmas Village, Annual Banquets, Monthly Networking
Breakfasts, Business Real Estate tours in Downtown Kennewick, and many others. I was responsible for
the communication with our business members and the community through newsletters and emails as
well as in charge of our social media presence by updating our website regularly, managing our Facebook
and Instagram accounts.
  
Farmers Market Manager- Build positive relationships with vendors before, during and after the Market Season. Scout and recruit new vendors during the offseason. Market logistics, cash handling, deposits, marketing, social media management. Event planning and execution for Market theme days, volunteer recruiting and training, finding and scheduling entertainment, communicating and arranging news and press, seeking new market sponsorships, following WSFMA rules and participating in their meetings and annual conferences, and working closely with partnerships for WIC and EBT Programs available for the community through the market.
