As an experienced Pharmacist with over 22 years of experience, I would like to expand my career into other facets of the pharmacy profession.  I am seeking to work as a Pharmacist in the healthcare or health insurance field.  I am committed to championing the health and well-being of every community in America.  By utilizing my extensive pharmacy experience and expertise, I will continue to make a positive impact on patients' overall health and well-being.

I received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2001.  I graduated Cum Laude with a 3.6 grade point average.  I am a member of the Kappa Epsilon Professional Association and the American Pharmaceutical Association.  I was the recipient of numerous School of Pharmacy scholarships and the President of Future Healthcare Professionals.

Review customer profiles for drug interactions, manage appropriate drug therapy, and communicate with prescribers as necessary.  Maintain inventory management.  Review medication requests from providers to determine approval or denial.  Provide exemplary customer service including patient consultation.  Perform medication management, verification, and accurate prescription dispensing. Perform insurance adjudication including private, Medicaid, Medicare, and Prior Authorization.  Adjust medication dosage, scheduling, and drug therapeutics based on clinical experience.

Served as the Pharmacist in Charge at one of the highest volume retail pharmacies in the United States for over 8 years, filling over 4500 prescriptions weekly.  Served as Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacy Team Leader at another high-volume pharmacy, filling 3200-3600 prescriptions weekly.  Provided top-notch customer service, including patient counseling and formulary conversions to lower costs and improve quality of care.  Provided quality assurance, workflow management, inventory management, regulatory requirements, personnel management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and patient safety.  Serve as a Community Pharmacy Preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy students.  Served as a Training Pharmacist.   Implemented CVS Pharmacy's first ever in-store technician training program.  Provided advice and guidance, and established and maintained working relationships with key individuals within CVS and other outside agencies.  Responded to highly technical inquiries pertaining to policies, law, regulations, and codes from the general public and local, state, and federal agencies. Pharmacist Manager

Provided clinical support to physicians and patients and provided medical recommendations to providers.  Monitored drug interactions, Coumadin therapy, and drug formularies.  Established and maintained working relationships with key individuals within HealthSouth and other local, state, and federal agencies.  Provided advice and guidance to leadership pertaining to financial profitability, budget, loss prevention, money savings, and patient safety.  Reviewed and analyzed drug policies and drug formularies pertaining mainly to Coumadin therapy.  Reviewed medication requests from providers to determine approval.  Reviewed patient charts and progress notes.  Consulted drug formularies and communicated with prescribers and patients.  Interpreted clinical evidence and practice guidelines.
