I worked with John at Columbia College, Chicago in a Drawing 1 class in 2021 and have followed his development with regular conversations about his work since that time.

John is an intelligent, honest, energetic and generous student - always dedicating himself whole-heartedly to each class and project prompt with ambitious ideas that fully engage the subject, even at the risk of failure – a rare and valuable trait.

John has always been eager to learn and, in my class, gregarious. He constantly made himself available to support his fellow students, making himself useful wherever possible.
