National EMS Certification

It is hard to comprehend what has happened to me in the past few weeks. UCHealth paramedics saved my life and brought me to the Medical Center of the Rockies after a terrible fall that caused me to have numerous facial fractures (left eye orbital fracture and basilar skull fracture that left me with a concussion I am currently dealing with in New Jersey), two scaphoid wrist fractures that are thankfully healing beautifully, and a radial distal head tear on my right elbow that is almost healed as well. I was a a volunteer for my first aid squad in high school where I received my EMT license and performed 100+ hours of service to my community and I also used my EMT license for 8 weeks in the summer of my freshman year of college. I am seeking a full time position for the summer of 2024 in Fort Collins and am willing to take the 5 week course to gain back my experience and work with whatever team I need to to gain the experience back that I may have lost over time. My certifications are all up to date (national certification goes until 2025 and Colorado one goes to September of 2024) and I am very eager to get back into the field this summer and help others like you guys helped me!

I volunteered as an EMT here starting in my sophomore year of high school to my freshman year of college and I am a junior currently.

I currently still work at this lab as a student researcher who focused on the biochemistry aspect of flaviviruses such as Dengue Virus. I do mass spectrometry to measure metabolite levels of Dengue-infected patients or other viruses to assess changes that can help us determine infection. I have taken a step back in this role however after my fall and am taking this time to refocus on my real goal of becoming a doctor and hands on experience like being an EMT.
