ESOL K-12

I have been a world language teacher at all levels from private schools to public schools for over 35 years. I want to work in Orange County Public School. I am FL certified in World Language Chinese and ESOL K-12. I am detail-oriented, passionate，hardworking, friendly, modest, respectful and friendly. I am a quick learner and an excellent team player. I am very interested in being a registrar now, close to my home in Orlando. Apart from  teaching full-time, I always get involved in sports coachign and students club supervision. I can coach or assist coach volleyball, track and field, cross-country, softball and archery.

I started from the Master's Program majoring in Bilingual/ESL/Multilingual Education. Then I worked on my Ed D. degree in the Teacher's Curriculum Design and Studies majoring in Language, Literacy & Culture. In 2009, I worked full time teaching Chinese at Wildwood Elementary School and Amherst Regional Middle School while I was writing my dissertation. In 2011, I completed my Ed. D. degree.

University of Massachusetts Amherst

I spent a year and a half getting my Master's Degree in this prestigious university. As Yunnan Normal University from which I got my B.A. and was offered an assistant professor teaching position still kept my job for me, I went back to it in Kunming to continue my teaching. Three years later, I was promoted as an associate professor teaching English to the undergraduate students at the university.

Shanghai Jiaotong University (Shanghai China)

I am a Chinese teacher teaching students from 7th grade to 12th grade, i.e. from beginning level to AP level. I am an advisor for the 8th grade. I supervise Asian Culture Club, participate in early drop-ff, break, lunch and dismissal duties (9 times a per week), and coach cross country and assistant coach softball. I organize and direct annual Chinese Spring Festival celebration, organize students' field trips. I introduce my qualified students into NCHS (National Chinese Honor Society).

World Language Chinese Teacher

I taught 7th and 8th grade Chinese, supervised Pingpang Club, advised 7th grade students and 8th grade students respectively. I participated in early morning students supervision. I coached lower and middle school students archery. I organized and directed Chinese Spring Festival event gala and local field trips.

I was awarded the 2018 TOY (Teacher of the Year) by FFLA.

I was nominated as 2019 ACTFL nominee by SCOLT (Southern Conference On Language Teaching).
