I have 5 years of programming experience, and am very proficient in Python and Java. This includes having been a Student Instructor for the Python course taught at Berkeley, and soon to be one for the Java course in the coming semester. However, far before I even learned to program, my interest in technology began in middle school with medical devices and assistive technology such as prostheses. It evolved in high school into a more general passion for robotics and devices, which I hope to continue to pursue further through school and working experience. Other than this, I have also become more interested in Computer Security and Machine Learning.

I am currently a third year studying EECS at UC Berkeley. I have been involved in various CS organizations, including being on the executive board of the Berkeley chapter's EECS Honors Society, Eta Kappa Nu. Airmettle is a big data storage and analytics company focused on accelerating data analytics on petabyte-scale environments. I am currently working on the multidimensional data team, looking at analytics on NetCDF and HDF5 file formats, with the goal of performing high-speed analytics on large climate data.

I served as a student instructor for the UC Berkeley course CS 61A - The Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs during Summer 2022. This course serves as an introductory course for CS majors (and related fields) at Berkeley, teaching core computer science concepts primarily through Python, but also through Scheme, SQL, and Regular Expressions. Being a student instructor involved holding daily discussion and lab sections, hosting office hours, creating course content (Homework, Discussion, Labs, Projects), and holding review sessions.

Undergraduate Student Instructor for CS 61A

I currently serve as a Senior Mentor for a student organization called Computer Science Mentors (CSM), a mentorship program that thousands of Berkeley students utilize every semester in order to get mentorship on various Computer Science/Electrical Engineering courses. I hold weekly tutoring sections for students taking CS 61A to help them better understand concepts that they learn during class. I also help with content creation, which involves designing the worksheets that the students learn off of, and organize exam review sessions. Being a Senior Mentor, I lead and teach a group of Junior Mentors as well, guiding them in leading their own tutoring sections. CS 61A is a computer science course that has a primary focus on Python, but also delves into Scheme, SQL, and RegEx.

EnableTech is a student organization that designs and builds hardware and software to address challenges faced by people with disabilities in Berkeley and the world at large. For four semesters, I was on the Umbrella Wheelchair (“Umbrelectric”) project (I lead the project for the later two semesters), working to design a device that would allow a Berkeley student with spinal muscular atrophy to attach her umbrella to her wheelchair and open it easily with the flip of a switch. I’m now part of the Executive team, serving as the Treasurer of the organization.

I have worked in both the Web committee and the SWENext committee in Berkeley's chapter of Society of Women Engineers (SWE). In the Web committee, I helped in managing the club's website, mainly using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In SWENext, an outreach committee within SWE, I was in charge of organizing panels for high school students to meet Berkeley engineering students. The goal of these panels was to encourage high school students, especially those who are female-identifying, to explore STEM, and to give them access to helpful resources.
