I went to Rio Hondo Community College and transferred into UCR for Bioengineering. I got my part 107 license and learned how to fly a small unmanned aircraft vehicle. I am currently looking for work in a STEM related field, preferably in water engineering and bioengineering/genetic engineering.

During my college journey I took a myriad of courses. Approximately half of my college journey consisted of part-time studies whereas the other half consisted of full-time studies. The first few years at community college were mainly general education courses which sharpened my writing skills and the final four years were almost all STEM courses related to my major. These courses included the calculus series, calculus-based physics series, organic chemistry series, biochemistry, physiology, statistics, biomaterials, senior design, etc.

The course focused on molecular spectroscopy, reaction mechanisms, and retrosynthesis, and is regarded as th emost challenging of the sophomore chemistry courses. Gabriel earned a B in the course, ranking in the top 30% of the class of 266 students (the class average was a C+).
