VEIOC is a medical office in Orange County, California. As a member of the front-office staff, my responsibilities included answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and administrative duties including filing, copying, retrieving, and scanning documents. I also acted as a main point of contact for medical professionals, patients, and insurance companies on behalf of the doctor. When I left VEIOC to begin law school, I trained my replacement and continue to be in contact with them as needed.

Front Office Staff

As a part of the Armenian Assembly’s Terjenian-Thomas Washington, DC Summer Intern Program, I was paired with the Armenian National Institute, an organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive database of information on Armenia and its diaspora to the public. My main responsibility was to conduct research on new developments and to create new entries for the database. Through this internship, I also had the opportunity to attend official meetings with members of House of Representatives to discuss current policy issues regarding the Armenian diaspora in the United States.

Intern

As a part of the AGBU’s Global Leadership Program in New York City, I was paired with Storica Wines, an importer of Armenian wines into the US, as an intern. There, I studied marketing, sales, and advertising strategies as a part of creating a presentation on Storica’s product offerings, which was distributed to potential clients. I also coordinated with clients to organize wine tasting events within their communities.

At UC Santa Barbara, I was invited to write an honors thesis, where I conducted an in-depth analysis of cultural genocide in the Caucasus. This experience allowed me to not only develop a strong understanding of the region’s history but also to dive deep into research, uncover compelling evidence, and craft persuasive arguments. My thesis was recognized with the Hermione Chevallier Prize for the best written work in the French department.
